IN 1 CORINTHIANS 13 WE ARE ENCOURAGED TO SEEK LOVE - GOD'S BEST GIFT AND IN GALATIANS 5 WE FIND THE FIRST "FRUIT" GOD WANTS TO SHARE WITH IS IS ALSO LOVE.
Let's look at God's love from 1 Corinthians 13.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails...
GOD PATIENTLY WAITS FOR US TO BECOME MORE LIKE HIM (DOES NOT FORCE US)
GOD DOESN’T PUT US DOWN OR BERATE US IN OUR WEAKNESS BUT SEEKS THE BEST FOR US
GOD FORGIVES & FORGETS CASTING OUR SIN INTO THE DEPTS OF THE SEA - Mic.7:19
GOD IS LOVE AND PERFECT LOVE CASTS OUT ALL FEAR - 1Jn.4:18
GOD’S LOVE IS ETERNAL (v.13) AND IS UNABLE TO FAIL (v.8).
WITH ALL WE CAN SAY ABOUT LOVE, COULD YOU USE MORE???
REMEMBER, LOVE GIVES (John 3:16) AND GIVING IS RECIPROCAL (Luke 6:38) = GIVING LOVE WILL ALLOW YOU TO REAP MORE LOVE
The truth is, God created all of us to love him, and to love one another. MARK 12:30-31
And we have the ability to love because we were created in God's image—who is love.
Make the choice today to deepen and strengthen the love in your heart for God, family, church and community with emphasis on three objects of your affection from Mark 12:30-31. (Jesus, Others and Yourself = J.O.Y.)
